Kensington School celebrates World Book Day 2017

As is tradition in our School, Book Day begins with The Big Read: silent reading by all pupils and teachers in the main playground.

The Big Read

This year the theme of the Book Day is Poetry, a platform where both children and teachers can share their favorite readings and enjoy them.

Many pupils and teachers from Year 1 to 4º ESO come in fancy dress as a character related to poetry. (see more photos)

Some teachers have dedicated this day to remember the writer and poet, Gloria Fuertes. This year she would have been 100 years old and at Kensington School we celebrated the centenary of her birth in advance.

Another activity has been a talk for the Year 3 and 4 students by the writer and poetess Libby Martinez. She transmitted her passion for poetry and the way she does it.
