ESO @ Kensington School

From 3rd and 4th ESO to the end of their studies in 2nd Bachillerato, the academic development of our students moves forward following an educational model which places undoubted importance on education in different languages. Apart from Spanish, the study of English and French continues at a level which offers students the opportunity to take the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE), the First Certificate in English (FCE), the Certificate of Advanced English (CAE) and the Certificate of Proficiency English (CPE), and French qualifications such as the DELF (Diplôme d’Ètudes en Langue Française) A2 and the IGCSE. Also, students in the 4th ESO begin the DELF B1 course, taking the exam the following year, with access to the B2 in 2nd Bachillerato.

One of the main objectives for Educación Secondaria Obligatoria at Kensington School is the development of a solid base of knowledge which will facilitate access to Bachillerato courses and allow our students to choose, with the best possible guarantee of success, the options which in turn will offer access to the different university courses of their choice, after successfully taking the PAU (Prueba de Acceso a la Universidad).

Since this exam was established in 2001/2002, the outstanding level of knowledge and preparation of Kensington School students has been recognized with one of the top placings every year in the grade point average rankings of all schools affiliated to the UCM.
